The Colorado Cooperative Council is committed to investing in the growth and success of cooperative professionals across Colorado. Our Staff Development Program provides emerging and experienced leaders with practical knowledge, leadership skills, and industry insights to help them excel within their organizations and strengthen the cooperative community.
Through a series of engaging sessions led by cooperative executives, industry experts, and subject matter specialists, participants gain valuable experience in leadership, finance, governance, human resources, and strategic planning while building lasting relationships with peers from cooperatives across the state.

Leadership Foundations
Participants begin by exploring their leadership style, communication strengths, and personal development through assessments and interactive workshops. This session focuses on self-awareness, team dynamics, and the skills needed to lead with confidence and authenticity.

Cooperative Business & Financial Management
Develop a stronger understanding of cooperative finance and business operations through hands-on learning. Topics include financial statements, budgeting, balance sheet management, lending, capital structure, and financial decision-making within the cooperative business model.

Cooperative Principles & Industry Leadership
Gain a deeper understanding of cooperative governance, business strategy, and the unique role cooperatives play in Colorado's economy. Participants engage with experienced cooperative leaders who share practical insights, leadership experiences, and real-world solutions to today's industry challenges.

People, Talent & Organizational Success
Strong cooperatives are built by strong people. This session focuses on strategic human resources, talent development, employee engagement, succession planning, and building high-performing teams that position cooperatives for long-term success.

Capstone & Graduation
The program concludes with participant capstone presentations that demonstrate the knowledge and skills gained throughout the program. Graduates are recognized for their achievement while joining a growing network of cooperative professionals committed to advancing leadership and strengthening Colorado's cooperative community.
